We are supporting a global, diverse technology leader who is the World's largest and most successful engine company. Our Client leads the field in the design and manufacture of high-performance engines. Their continuous development programme, dedicated to furthering engine design, allows them to offer one of the most advanced and comprehensive ranges of purpose-built diesel and gasoline engines available today.

The Product Engineering team is responsible for all aspects of product design & development, liaising with colleagues in both Japan & the USA

The successful candidate will join the 400 series Engineering Team, taking on responsibility for all elements of design and drawing work

Co-ordination of drawing updates with our Japanese joint venture partner

Creation of parts, and the co-ordination of parts creation at an outside design house

Collation and creation of Pro/E models, both for detailed in house work, and for customer specific requests

Model modification and updates

Writing Engineering Reports to record conclusions & recommendations from work and to give approval to design signoff

Support any component re-sourcing exercises

Submitting data and requests to other parts of the business

Engineering or other technical degree preferred, HNC minimum

Practical understanding of IC engine technology, design/development

Good understanding of engineering principles and the application of appropriate solutions to support project requirements

Key Competencies to include good ownership of work, day to day planning and organising, decision making, communications, interpersonal skills & team working

Ability to work with global teams
