| Development Engineer (Contract or Perm)
We are supporting a global, diverse technology leader who is the World's largest and most successful engine company. Our Client leads the field in the design and manufacture of high-performance engines. Their continuous development programme, dedicated to furthering engine design, allows them to offer one of the most advanced and comprehensive ranges of purpose-built diesel and gasoline engines available today.
The Product Engineering team is responsible for all aspects of product design & development, liaising with colleagues in both Japan & the USA.
The Role:
The successful candidate will join the 400 series Engineering Team, taking on responsibility for various engine validation tasks, including both performance and mechanical aspects of the 400 series engine signoff
Specifically, this will include some or all of the following:
Overseeing day to day running of consistency & compliance engines performance validation work
Investigating & resolving any customer related issues
Analysis of performance data using "Phoenix" software
Overseeing day to day running of mechanical validation tests
Raising engine build requests
Arranging timely transport of engines to outside test facilities
Investigating & resolving any engine related issues at outside test facilities
Assessing component condition before & after test, and as returned by customers with the assistance of the appropriate CPPD groups
Writing Engineering Reports to record conclusions & recommendations from work and to give approval to product / component signoff
Support any component re-sourcing exercises
Submitting data and requests to other parts of the business
Requirements:
Engineering or other technical degree preferred, HNC minimum
Practical understanding of engine technology, design/development
Practical understanding of major application types and customer requirements
Key Competencies to include customer focus, day to day planning and organising, decision making, communications, interpersonal skills & team working
Ability to work with global teams
This role is available on a Contract or Perm basis | ||
