| SERVICE MANAGER � AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION LOCATION: HERTFORDSHIRE SALARY: £35,000 + Commission + Vehicle THE COMPANY: My client is a leading provider of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration design, installation and maintenance services, predominantly within the commercial arena. In order for my client to achieve their current plans for expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Service Manager to manage, operate, drive and grow their ever developing Service Department. THE ROLE: My clients business is currently structured in the format of Installation works making up two thirds of their business and Service works making up one third. It will be your responsibility to develop the Service side of the business to new heights. Currently generating £1million turnover, this is an area of the business that could see dramatic growth. It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the Service Department, managing engineer�s workloads and managing the company�s out of hours service. You will be expected to take P&L responsibility, taking part in cash flow and financial planning, budget preparation and managing debtor and creditor control. You will be working closely with their clients ensuring that the service you are providing is in line with their specifications, this will involve being on hand to provide technical support when needed whilst also generating extra works from service contracts where you can. As part of your day to day activities, you will be responsible for Human Resources in terms of effective management of staff, recruitment and training. It will be up to you to help promote the company in every way possible, working closely with the marketing department to increase their profile within the industry. You will need to be technically minded, if you are going to develop the service department to its full potential. THE CANIDIDATE In order to be considered for this role, the successful Service Manager must possess the following: - A proven track record within the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry - An engineering background, allowing you to use your technical expertise in generating new business and providing technical support to both clients and your own team of engineers - A solid grounding in financial management i.e. budget preparation, forecasting etc - A proven track record within a service environment - Good client liaison skills - A clean UK drivers licence This is a truly exciting role with a reputable service provider!
