| This is an opportunity to work for a leading aerospace company in the South West. Candidates should come from a systems engineering background and be eligible to gain full security clearance. The client are a world leading supplier of innovative sensing and control technologies, products include a range of Digital Terrain Systems and Ground Proximity Warning Systems for a range of aircraft types. Candidates with strong mathematics skills and experience in the avionics industry will be particularly desirable. The work will include: All aspects of the lifecycle for avionics products, including: * Providing inputs to planning, estimation and project management activities. * Performance of system requirements analysis, generation of requirement specifications and compliance tracking. * Development of algorithms and support to the Software Development activity * Planning, development and performance of system Qualification Testing, leading to certification to DO178B. * Generation of documentation to Mil STD 498 * Support to systems integration and customer trials activities. The role may include travel to UK and foreign customer sites to support technical meeting and programme reviews. Person Specification: * Degree in General Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline. * Educated to 'A' level standard in Maths, as a minimum * Experience with modelling or requirement capture tools will be advantageous. * Experience of working to military standards * The ability to work well as part of a team as well as being self motivated * Good communication skills * Excellent customer focus To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to gain full UK security clearance.
