| Senior Electrical Design Engineer Job Reference: Salary: 35-40K Benefits: After probationary period, private healthcare, non-contributory 5% stakeholder Pension. 25 days holiday, rising to 30 days. Standard working hours. Location: Essex Job Description: Working for a rapidly expanding, multidisciplinary building services consultancy, you will be employed as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer reporting to the Engineering Director and be required to take a lead role in the Electrical design elements of primarily, public sector building services projects. Your main role will be to produce detailed design work, including specification writing and attendance at client meetings Working within a team you will be tasked with undertaking a range of duties to include detailed design of public sector buildings, assisting in the preparation of fee submissions and project bids and development of conceptual design solutions to design intent. You will review technical electrical designs, primarily of public sector buildings in Healthcare and Education and provide specialist technical advice and guidance at project and group level to ensure production of specifications in line with the client brief. You will also be expected to review technical competency and review the design, supervision and technical aspects of allocated projects. Person: The desired candidate should have experience to include commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, working for the public and private sectors. The practice is multidisciplinary, however experience in public sector disciplines would be advantageous. Applicants must have the ability to run projects from concept to installation with Practice or Consultancy project management experience and be able to contribute technically to framework and tenders for new business. Experience in excess of 5 years beyond qualification is ideal, with Chartership already gained. As the role will involve travel to site, a driving licence is necessary.
