Job Description:
Excellent opportunity for a Programme Manager to join an expanding manufacturing of large scale structural steel storage products.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a dynamic and proven Project/Program Management professional to join an already established and successful company.

The Role

My client is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager, responsible for delivering projects through design, development, manufacture and installation throughout the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East.

The role will involve driving the progress of the projects through the complete project life-cycle; which involves working with all areas of the business including site installation, and to manage the relationships with the customers. Furthermore the candidate will be responsible for the preparation of project plans, project risk assessments, cost control, product quality, delivery to agreed timescales, and monitoring & reporting of project performance to the Head of Projects.

Candidate's Background

Applications are sought from experienced Project/Programme Managers who will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the project management of complete design, development and installation programmes.

The Tasks of the Programme Manager will include:

- Defining programme requirements and objectives
- Supporting the bid generation process
- Ensure compliance with business processes.
- Management of cross-functional project teams.
- Consolidate resource requirements.
- Provide leadership for the project team.
- Delivery of all assigned projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets.
- Utilisation of project management tools to drive project performance.
- Monitor project costs and income against baseline and to forecast the project cash flow.
- Work with Purchasing to ensure all supply chain orders are placed to the required specification and to track deliveries in accordance with project schedule.
- Co-ordination of full product installation at a site in conjunction with Installation Manager.
- Managing the customer relationship.
- Development and maintenance of constructive relationships with all stakeholders and all business functions.
- Input into continuous improvement of Programme Management process and project lifecycle.
- Preparation of reports to management.

The following skills/experience will be required by the Programme manager:

- Proven Project Management experience. (including a strong commercial background)
- Complete Project Lifecycle experience.
- Competent user of the following Microsoft packages: Project, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
