| We are working exclusively with an oil & gas major. They are opening a brand new mechanical subsea product development facility based in the Scottish Central Belt. They have a number of requirements. As a part of the start-up of the facility, several of these roles are for a Mechanical Designers. You will be part of a mechanical engineering team developing new subsea technology. If you do not have experience of this technology, you should have a real desire to be involved in the development of new subsea technology and the ability to use your imagination to contribute to new solutions to engineering problems. In order to be successful, you must possess 3D experience within mechanical design. You must be qualified to HNC-HND level in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and possess several years experience of working on 3D mechanical designs. Experience of working with the Inventor design package would be beneficial. Candidates with training on other 3D suites such as Pro-E, Solidworks, etc will easily convert with minimal training. 3D experience is essential for the role. The ability to perform engineering calculations would also be beneficial. This represents an almost unique opportunity to continue and develop your career within a developing team.
