| Technical Superintendent - Glasgow - Up to £51,000 We are currently searching for an existing Technical Superintendent or Chief Engineer to work for our clients in Glasgow, Scotland. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a seagoing Chief Engineer and should have a Class one Certificate of Competency in place. Our client is an international ship management company with offices in Europe, US, Far East and India. Main responsibilities will include: * Ensure adequate plans and schedules are available to meet ships operations, maintenance and repair in accordance with Company standards. * Prepare formal reports as to the condition, performance and costs associated with managed vessels. * Undertake regular ships visits to ensure that vessels meet the Company's criteria for safe effective operations. * Co-ordinate the activities of all support departments to ensure that ship support is achieved in the most efficient and cost effective manner. * Attend the ship during drydocking and major repair periods in order to ensure that all necessary work and repairs are satisfactorily completed within agreed budgets.
