| Our client is requiring a strong and inspirational leader to support their Nuclear New Build (NNB) targets. Initially you will be responsible for developing the processes for and the production of operational documentation in conjunction with the technical sections of the parent company and is critical to the achievement of both a nuclear site licence and future safe and reliable operation. You will responsible for developing the future operational documentation strategies and processes, liaising with the appropriate divisions within the company, both existing nuclear, our clients operations in France as well as interfacing with the NII. Ultimately as the NNB team grows, you will be required to manage and motivate a small team of technical staff. The team will fulfil an essential role in the support of project targets and the implementation of operational documentation processes for the project and for the successful operation of the stations. Initially you will be required to work with the project team to develop NNB processes to ensure that they meet the requirements of the site licence arrangements. You will develop a work programme and processes for the production of operational documentation, e.g. Operational Technical Specifications, station operating instructions and maintenance documentation. You will ensure international best practices and consistency with the parent company procedures is employed in the production of documentation. You will ultimately manage and motivate a team who will be accountable for the delivery of targets in support of New Nuclear Build in the area of operational documentation. You will ensure that a high standard of health, safety, quality and environment management prevails throughout all areas of responsibility and that performance is maintained within parameters defined by the NNB Executive. You will be degree qualified and have experience within the nuclear industry. Any experience in the development of power plant technical specifications and operating instructions is highly desirable. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a good understanding of quality arrangements required in UK nuclear regulated environment. You will have knowledge of health and safety legislation including CDM and nuclear site license requirements. You will have a proven track record in an operational power plant environment.
