| My client specialises in electronic and communications equipment for the defence industry, they currently require an HSE & Regulatory Consultant to provide advice on environmental regulatory requirements across their product range. Candidates will ideally hold current and valid SC level security clearance. Main Duties of this Position -Develop a full guidance documentation suite for all applicable environmental and safety regulatory requirements for the UK/EU and appropriate markets areas, including (but not exclusively): -RoHS / WEEE -REACH -Safety Standards -CE Marking -Provide professional advice on specific safety related regulatory compliance in the UK and international markets for each product within the company product portfolio. -Provide guidance for the future intention of the Defence and Security authorities with respect to environmental and safety legislations, especially RoHS, WEEE, REACh and CE certification. -Categorise company products and activities into appropriate groups with respect to environmental and safety regulatory requirements. -Identify and document key control points with respect to compliance audits conducted by Defence and Security authorities with respect to environment and safety regulations -Draft product related environmental and safety regulatory compliance policy and plans for continuing compliance. -Recommend potential entry into environmental and safety associations within the Defence and Security authorities. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: -Involvement in defence electronics industry regulatory compliance environment -Comprehensive understanding of the UK/EU product related environmental regulations (especially RoHS/WEEE and REACH) including pending updates. -Good understanding of international product related environmental regulations (current and pending) in the countries of interest. -Experience in practical environmental evaluation of products by independent body -Experience of liaising with both national and international professional associations. -Experienced with Microsoft Office tool set. -Current security clearance an advantage.
