| My client specialises in the design, development and delivery of data security solutions for government and civilian applications. They currently have a requirement for an Engineering Process Leader to focus on improvement of manufacturing processes. Candidates must be eligible for SC level security clearance. Role overview: This role reports into our Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for developing and improving economical manufacturing processes. Main responsibilities: Standard time; -Implement and maintain a process to control and report the below: -Ensure that timings are input into the MRP system for all products. -Ensure that all processes relating to product build are evaluated for cost reduction. Specifically: to reduce the time of our encryption range by 10%. -Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet supply needs. People; -Manage the engineering team to ensure the full use of their time and capability. -Implement method of reporting engineering efficiency. Control; -To ensure the integrity of the product by control of issue status and full New Product Introduction with use of the engineering team and document control. -Ensure that process-flow for all products are correctly documented. -Assist manufacturing quality in scheduled product audits. -Assist with the reduction of incident reports raised (our closed loop root cause analysis) -Initiate continuous improvement system. -Assuming responsibility for environmental monitoring and ongoing performance of processes and the Manufacturing environment. -Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations. Machine -To ensure that all equipment is maintained and calibrated in line with specified requirements, inclusive of PAT testing. -Assessing our processes for their relevance and assessing the adequacy of our manufacturing equipment. -Supporting the conversion of small-scale processes into commercially viable large-scale operations. -Assuming responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability studies.
