| Our large Aerospace/Defence client is looking for a IT Security Analyst to be based in Dorset on a Perm Basis. Role purpose The IT Security Analyst performs two core functions: day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions; and identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems Key responsibilities Strategy & Planning Contribution Planning and design of enterprise security architecture Preparation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines procedures) Acquisition & Deployment Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprises security documents specifically Operational Management Identify security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives Provide technical support in the development, testing and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus and other automation Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through the clients workstations, servers and other systems and databases Ensure the enforcement of the client's security requirements including, but not limited to Special Security Agreements (SSA), Export Control and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations Review logs and reports of all in-place devices; interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution Contribute to investigations into problematic activity Contribute to the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits Provide on-call support for end users for all in-place security solutions Core competencies Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language Highly self motivated and directed Keen attention to detail Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment Qualifications and Experience Formal Education & Certification Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience Demonstrable experience in network, host, data, application, O/S systems environments One or more of the following certifications highly desirable: GIAC Security Essentials Certification Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer: Security Cisco Certified Network Associate Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (ISC)2 SCCP, (ISC)2 CISSP, (ISC)2 ISSAP Knowledge & Experience Experience in enterprise security architecture design Experience in enterprise security document creation Experience in designing and delivering employee security awareness training Experience with IP networking, networking protocols, IPSec, PKI, VPN's, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, email, access lists Experience with internet, web, application and network security techniques Ability to obtain a US security clearance required Key measures and milestones Objectives will be set within the the clients's Personal Development Review process. Support of the Migration team against the planned activity, providing the Security interface from the Datacenter. Candidates must be able to obtain UK MOD SC Security Cleareance. | ||
