The Role
Due to continued growth and expansion a position has become available for a Senior Development Engineer. Working as a key member of a Project Team developing innovative Test and Measurements products you will contribute to the definition and development of product concepts and architectures and lead major sections of development. Typical products are for the Electrical Test industry, implying low cost designs with rapid measurement cycles.

The position requires broad technical skills including Electrical and Electronic design with experience in digital and analog designs, and preferably a good working knowledge of embedded firmware.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Senior Development Engineer you will report directly to the Engineering Director.
• Technical Leadership of one or more major design sections and or whole product performance
• Contribution to the development of top level specification and responsibility for sections of system design.
• Takes overall responsibility for areas of Product Performance over whole life cycle.
• Creation and review of project design specifications and test plans.
• Responsibility for Design for Manufacture including Calibration, Test and Serviceability.
• To plan and deliver complex design modules in a project
• Lead or oversee product performance verification with particular emphasis on reliability and margins.
• Presentation of progress and status reports to Senior management
• Adherence to Company policy and Quality standards including ISO9000 and internal Development processes including NPD and PDM
• Use of System Design and analysis tools
• Design capture and simulation using various CAD and CAE tools.
• Use of project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project
• You will have a HNC or HND or equivalent in Electronic or Electronic Software Engineering and or a closely related subject
• Breadth of technical experience and specialism in one or more technical competencies e.g. Digital Design, CPU, Precision Analog measurement, software.
• Proven track record 5 yrs or more of successful designs that reliably and consistently meet specifications with adequate margins.
• Expertise in Test and Measurements and thorough knowledge of associated test instrumentation
• Advanced Computer literacy.

The Rewards
A salary of up to £40k plus a competitive package is available.

Referral Scheme £200
