The Role
An industry leader within it specialist field this company has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Quality Technician.
Responsibilities
The duties for the role include :
- Interpreting engineering drawings and goods inwards inspection procedures.
- Verifying the standard of soldering on PCB Assemblies is as required.
- Verifying component positioning and placement on PCBs is correct.
- Carrying out the measurement of parts using various pieces of measuring equipment.
- Producing internal component ISIRs for critical dimensions to verify ISIR data provided by suppliers.
- Selecting the requisite samples for checking.
- Data entry on to the company's MRP system.
- Basic data handling and interpretation.
- Basic verbal and written communication with suppliers regarding quality issues.
- Liaising with other members of staff with respect to any supplier related quality issues.
- Basic analysis of customer returns and documentation of findings.
- Assisting in stores and despatch activities.
The person undertaking the above duties should ideally have competency in the following areas :
- Using; CMM, Profile Projector, Micrometer, Vernier, Surface Measurement & Hardness Testing Equipment and Various Gauges.
- Interpreting Engineering Drawings, Specifications, Standards and Goods Inwards Inspection Procedures.
- Using Word & Excel at a basic level.
- Numeracy to an intermediate level preferably including basic statistics.
- Report writing skills sufficient to compile supplier complaint document.

This company is as a market leader in the design, development and production of pressure sensing products including the use of thin film technology.
The Rewards
A salary of £18k to £20k depending on qualifications and experience plus a competitive package is available.
Referral Scheme £200
