Job Description:

We are seeking to employ ambitious engineers at all levels to work in our renewable energy project teams.  We are looking for highly motivated people who can contribute to our reputation for quality and delivery.  Applicants should have a good understanding of structural behaviour and have experience in project management, design or analysis.  Candidates should also be willing and able to tackle demanding, thought provoking, technical problems by applying engineering methods from first principles and recognising the right solution in terms of both constructability and maintainability.


Qualifications


BSc(Eng) in Civil or Structural Engineering, from a reputable university. 
For Principal Engineer positions, applicants should be chartered with at least 7-10 years relevant experience.  For Senior Engineer positions, applicants should be chartered or close to achieving chartership with MICE, MIStructE or MIMechE and have at least 5-7 years relevant experience and be keen and able to accept responsibility with a view to promotion after 2-3 years.  For Engineer positions, applicants should have 1-2 years relevant experience.

Experience


Applicants should have experience in at least two and preferably three of the following topics:
· Supervising and overseeing surveys, construction and installation works.  Experience of working in the offshore environment for the renewable energy and/or oil and gas industries would be preferred.
· Structural design and analysis of offshore sub-structures with detailed knowledge of design codes and design guidance and the ability to solve demanding technical problems to demonstrate structural integrity. 
· Previous experience of coastal engineering, such as sea/sand defences, docks or harbours.
· Experience of marine logistics.
· The use of structural analysis software (e.g. ASAS, SACS, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SESAM, USFOS) for linear and nonlinear global analysis and detailed analysis of structural components. 
· Design verification combining independent assessment, review of fabrication drawings and detailed review of design reports.
· Participation in project management teams as Project Managers, Package Managers, Project Engineers or Project Planners.
· The drafting of the technical aspects of Invitation to Tender and contracts.
· Liaison with clients and the preparation of technical proposals.
