| We currently have an opening for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer with an aerospace manufacturer based in Hampshire. If you have a good knowledge of Supplier Quality Assurance from the aerospace industry then this could be a fantastic opportunity. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the quality of supplied product is maximised and continually improved by: Flowing down Plant Specific and Product specific requirements and supplying data including previous lessons learned down to suppliers when new products are transferred to them. Working with suppliers to identify root causes affecting supply in a timely manner to support customer DPPM and OTD performance. Working with under performing suppliers, levering strategic purchasing . SQA resources where appropriate to improve their performance as measured through supplier OTD and supplier DPPM Carrying out Product / Process audits in accordance with a schedule based on performance and agreed with the Quality Assurance Manager focussed on the plant's specific requirements. These should be arranged in liaisons with Strategic Purchasing to avoid overcharge and maximise. Manage Product Transfers to support strategic re-sourcing initiatives Supplier Development activities relating to Customer out and new suppliers. Apply Risk Management Techniques to suppliers to investigate supply risks. Background: 1. Knowledge of working with AS91000 and EASA Standards / Regulations 2. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes including Casting, Forging, Machinery, Heat Treatment and Chemical Treatments 3. Knowledge of NDT Techniques 4. Management Experience 5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Techniques 6. Experience of PPAP 7. Knowledge of Risk Management 8. Member of CQI 9.
