JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:-Services Technician (ST) REPORTS TO:-Services Supervisor PURPOSE The role of an ST is to ensure that throughout the programme of work, all work is completed to the company standards, all paperwork is completed (both the company's and customer's), business opportunities are relayed to management and all norms, standards, legislation and Health & Safety requirements are conformed to. DIMENSIONS Health & Safety Cost control Quality Assurance Scope of the works NATURE AND SCOPE The Job Holder will carry out environmental services (ES) work as requested by the supervisor (or others as appropriate) and be fully conversant with the procedures as laid down in the company Operations Manual and Legionella Policies. Generally this will involve, but not limited to, the physical cleaning and disinfection by various means of water storage tanks, building water services, cooling towers, water mains and water features. The Job Holder will also be required to carry out routine monitoring of building water services provided he/she has received the necessary training and is suitably competent. This will typically be temperature monitoring, bacterial testing and correct logging of all test results. In the absence of the supervisor he/she will act as a liaison point between the customer and the company and co-ordinate resources ensuring there are sufficient chemicals and equipment on site at all times to carry out the work. He/she will also ensure that necessary services are available on site and establish who the site contact will be for the duration of the work and that all equipment is used maintained and stored in a safe and secure condition throughout the time it is on site. The Job Holder will be responsible for confirmation to the customer of completion of work, leave the customer with the required site issued paperwork, and ensure all other paperwork is forwarded to supervisor/administrator within one week of job completion for issue to customer. To pass on all upgrade leads to supervisor or relevant sales engineer. At all times the Job Holder is responsible for the Health & Safety of themselves and others, including members of the public, by ensuring that standards are conformed to and that PPE and other equipment is available, suitable and used.
