| Our client operates at the heart of the broadcast and mobile communications industry and is at the forefront of network solutions and services in an increasingly digital world. Purpose: - To be responsible for the production and ongoing management of Technical Applications requests in line with both customer and company requirements - Provide radio system engineering support that enhances the service delivery to customer and the Business Unit - To support the business unit technically and assist with the interpretation of customer requirements in order to produce technically sound solutions with minimal risk Key Objectives: - To provide RF systems engineering applications support to the Public Safety Regional Business Management team - To produce accurate and timely Design and Costings in line with customer and Business Manager requirements - Liaise with business development managers on a regular basis in order to understand the strategy and likely requirements of potential bids - Ensure that all jobs are logged and actioned following the BID process - Liaise with relevant stakeholders so as to ensure their understanding of the costing and service deliverables and attain required agreements - Co-ordination of financial, performance and resource sign off - Project Management and delivery of specialised local small to Medium I&C orders - Work as part of the bid team providing costing and technical input into tender responses - Liaise with key suppliers in order to manage and resolve RF related engineering and maintenance issues - Develop and manage relationships with relevant internal & external suppliers - Develop technical knowledge in line with the changing business requirements - Competent at producing high quality technical documentation to support costed solutions - Maintain a secure working environment in line with the requirements of the Security Policy in order to protect individuals, information and assets Skills/Competencies: - Excellent numerical skills - Excellent customer facing skills - Commercial awareness and negotiation skills - Willing to take ownership and follow through on own initiative - Experience in project engineering and delivery Technical knowledge, Experience & Qualifications: - Appropriate technical qualification - min HNC in Electronic Engineering - In depth knowledge of PMR and Tetra networks and overall strong technical aptitude - RF System Design/Engineering - I&C - Planning - Optimisation - Excellent understanding of support services associated with PMR networks - Production of costed technical solutions covering PMR systems for the Blue Light & Non-Blue Light PMR Radio Markets - Project engineering and project delivery of technical solutions - Design and costing of service support packages for the Blue Light & Non-Blue Light PMR Radio markets To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Matchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. | ||
