| A leading chemical engineering company are looking for a UK National Reagent Sales Specialist to develop new and existing business, selling a range of products/services. The succesful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, and a degree in Chemistry or scientific with a good understanding of chemical procedures/reagents etc. Key Responsibilities: - Performs all sales activities within the UK to meet company objectives. - Annually submits and implements a detailed sales action plan identifying: sales objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, and regional shows to be attended during the following fiscal year. - Participates in sales activities including: customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, workshops, product demonstrations and customer seminars. - Submit annually, monthly and weekly sales forecast to UK Sales Manager. - Develop the number of key Reagent contracts and directly oversee a reduction in reagent discounts. - Maintains customer activity files in SMART database. Extensive use of the SMART Reagent Tool (SRT) to develop the reagent turnover. - Work closely with the Lab team to drive the reagent business through the existing strategy. - Support the TeleRelations development of reagent sales over the phone. - Train the Lab Sales Teams on all technical aspects of Reagents for Industry, WW & DW. - Assists in maintaining a mail list (SMART) for customers in the assigned territory. - Collects and reports information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory. The UK National Reagent Specialist reports directly to the UK Lab Sales Manager. - External Relationships: - Product End Users - Engineers - Contractors - Government Entities - OEM's - Systems Integrators. Desired Background and Skill Requirements - A BSc degree in Chemistry, Environment Sciences or equivalent experience. Alternate science degrees will be considered. - Experience in the general techniques and chemical procedures employed by (Chemical Test-Kits (Reagents), Photometry, Colorimetric Analysis, pH, Conductivity, D.O., etc) - Experience developing large reagent contracts. A proven track record in securing reagent business. - Industrial sales experience in similar products and services preferred. - Formal sales training is required, but may be obtained immediately after employment. - Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the Internet. - Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving license. - Must be willing and able to travel extensively. - Proven track record in outstanding sales performance.
