| An excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer with a sound knowledge of programming in C or C++. The successful candidate will programme in C, and must also have an understanding of testing and debugging. Job Description Working as part of a multinational and multi-disciplined team you will be involved in a range of projects for the automotive and transport industries where the work is predominantly for the passenger car and truck markets. You will be supporting the design, development and integration of leading edge technologies using C and/or C++. Person Specification You are a graduate engineer (or equivalent) either starting their professional career or with previous experience in an electronics development environment now seeking your next move into a challenging industry that will broaden your experience and reward you with opportunities to develop leading technologies. In order to be successful, you will need to seek innovative solutions while working within tight timescales. Able to work well within multi-disciplinary project teams, you will be a self-starter with the determination to deliver to clear objectives. Your degree qualification will be in an engineering, electronics, physics, or software related subject and you would be expected to be familiar with the following: > C > Software specification, design and test processes > Software Configuration Management and tools > Experience of software testing, prototyping, debugging and code reviews > Appreciation of the software development lifecycle (V-model) Knowledge/experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: > C++ > Model based development (Matlab/Simulink) > Autocoding experience in TargetLink, ASCET-SD or Embedded Coder > Working to quality standards > Serial Communications protocols; CAN, LIN > Real Time OS > Experience of programming for ST10, HCxx, Power PC microcontroller families > Experience of developing code for products from concept to production > Static code analysis > Make, Linkers, Debuggers > Scripting (shell/Perl/Python), Unix > Automotive industry experience To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Matchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. | ||
