| Our client is diversify ing into many industries due to continual annual growth. They are a telecommunications company and they require a Business Development Manager with a proven record of success within the Rail Industry. Our client has been established for over 20 years now and over the last few years they have been developing and now gaining a strong market presence within the Rail Industry. As a result, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager who can generate sales for the company through identifying projects and winning bids. Focus will be on the transport industry, specifically the rail sector. You would be looking out for opportunities in both the UK and Worldwide. The position will predominantly be home based although you will be expected to go into office no more than once a week to discuss and plan bids/deals etc. The amount of International travel will vary depending on level of activity. The position will include some Account Management but it will be heavily focused purely on developing new business. You will need to have experience selling cables or similar products within LUL rail industry. (Communications/telecoms/signalling/CCTV). The most important requirement for this position is that you already have a good contact base within the Rail industry. The basic salary for this position will be 55 - 60k (depending on level of experience) with an attractive bonus element (to be advised) Plus car allowance and a medical package.
