| Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Commissioning Engineer to work in their Head Office. Our client is a major supplier of industrial gases and speciality chemicals worldwide. A position is available within the Global Engineering Organisation European Commissioning Team for a Principle Commissioning Engineer to be responsible for the Commissioning of their plants, principally within Europe, the Middle East and Africa but with some potential for involvement further afield as part of the Global Organisation The plants will range between small and large, Cryogenic Air Separation and Steam Methane Reformer plants. The position is based at our European Headquarters and will include significant travelling. Job Purpose: To act as Start-Up Leader on Air Separation and Flammable Gas Processing plants world-wide, mostly for third party customers Those Start-Up leadership responsibilities will require you to Lead a small team of specialists in pre-commissioning, commissioning and plant start-up through to performance test and local operator training. Control activities to perform to set power and manpower budgets Assume responsibility for site safety and staff welfare during these activities To work within the European Headquarters during periods of low, on-site commissioning commitments. Activities during this period may include - Flow sheet development Manual and procedure preparation Preparation of Global Commissioning Documentation Assistance to European Operations on ongoing Productivity Projects Qualifications/ Experience: Graduate in related engineering discipline or minimum HND or equivalent. Previous site experience working in chemical, petrochemical or related process industries. Proven track record in Start-up, commissioning or plant lead roles Cryogenic Air Separation and Flammable gas plant experience preferred Good communication and interpersonal skills. Passport, driving licence, internationally mobile.
