| We are currently looking for an experience Process Engineer to work in the Cryogenics division. Our client is a major supplier of industrial gases and speciality chemicals worldwide. A position has been created for a Process Engineer to become a lead engineer for cryogenic separation of hydrocarbon gases projects for the HyCO and Energy Systems PST. The HyCO PST is an area of strategic growth for the company and the expectation is for many new opportunities as increased emissions regulation will force refineries to optimise their use of hydrocarbon streams. The successful applicant will become involved in all cryogenic Process Engineering issues on European bids, projects, and studies. The engineer will also interact with the operations team to optimise existing assets. Applicants with the interest and knowledge may train over the appropriate time period to become the Global Technology Manager for Front End Impurity Removal (non-ASU cryo applications) and / or HyCO - Cryogenic and Nitrogen Rejection Units. The position is based at our European Headquarters and will include occasional travel. Job Purpose: Provide technical input to all European bids, projects, and studies. Develop heat and material balances Develop advanced cryogenic cycles Specify process equipment duties Participate in HAZOP, safety, and relief analyses Qualifications/ Experience: Chemical Engineering graduate with previous Process Engineering experience Familiar with cryogenic systems Knowledge of hydrocarbon processes, the impact of contaminants, and an understanding of the effect of variations in feedstock composition Excellent computing skills including the use of a steady state process simulator and optimiser (preferably ASPEN) Exposure to process controls and instrumentation, fluid flow, and thermodynamics Capable of working independently to tight project deadlines Good communication skills to keep the project team, operations personnel, and the customer informed Passport, driving licence, internationally mobile.
