| Job Type Temporary Contract - 6 months Position Senior Traffic Engineer x 2 - Street Managements Traffic and Transportation Division of a busy Local Authority based in the heart of North London requires a Traffic Engineer to work within Traffic and Safety team working within one of the Traffic Management sections:, Highways, Highways Management, Highways Maintenance, Road Safety, Traffic and Safety and Transport Infrastructure Project teams. The role is working alongside Highways Engineers, Traffic Engineers, Highway Improvement Officers, Traffic Engineers and Road Safety Officers within the Traffic and Transportation division. Working on traffic calming schemes, safer routes to school, 20mph zones and road safety measures. It does not necessarily include designs but does include all tasks associated with implementing schemes including budget control and reporting and identify non-compliance contractual issues and dealing with this with the contractors.
