| An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Proposals Engineer for a leading supplier of high technology engineering solutions and process equipment to the international oil, gas and water industries. This leading company specialises in the design and manufacture of Gas and Oil Metering Systems. They also produce Water treatment for the oil and gas industry utilising hydrocyclone technology. The right candidate will be able to produce high quality, professional proposals, reflecting the company's leading position in the industry. You will also be expected to achieve accurate cost estimates and competitive interpretation of customers' enquiry specifications. Responsibilities: -To achieve the growth in sales and profitability in accordance with the business plan. -To achieve customer satisfaction by providing quality of service. -To achieve satisfactory cash flow by negotiating terms of payment which make the project self financing. -Provide Technical Dept with all information needed to produce the system design. -Reviews client's specifications and Proposal Data Sheets and Drawings. -Prepares Final Commercial and Technical Proposal. -All commercial matters must be discussed with the Commercial Manager and the Sales Director. -Generally provides estimating assistance to Tendering and contract activities when required. -Provides assistance to project managers when required to clarify technical, commercial and budget matters in the bid documents. Requirements: -Honours degree or equivalent in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. -Experience in understanding and implementation of engineering specifications for process, mechanical and electrical equipment and materials to International Standards. -Engineering experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance procedures and documentation. -Previous engineering, sales, proposals and/ or projects experience. Salary:-£30-50k Dependant on experience. Benefits:-Pension, Healthcare, excellent scope for career progression.
