| Key Accountabilities Accountable to the Quality Manager for the management of submarine 1st level records and supporting documentation in support of Fleet Time Engineering work in a project oriented environment. Identification of quality record requirements associated with all submarine work requisitions (WISAs), nuclear procedures and subsequent administration and collation of submarine 1st level records and supporting documentation prior to delivery to the records authority. Audit 1st level documentation produced in support of Fleet Time Engineering work including nuclear procedures and 1st level dossier ensuring all quality aspects are met, raising discrepancy reports as appropriate to rectify deficiencies. Production of detailed Quality Plans to support Fleet Time Engineering Maintenance Projects (RAMPs), achieving stakeholder agreement prior to project start. Undertake audit/surveillance of novel/high risk submarine work packages against relevant engineering standards iaw the vessel Quality Plan. Provide competent interpretation and advice on the practical application of customer quality and regulatory requirements for submarine maintenance and repair work. Compile and produce trend analysis reports on quality related information to permit identification and implementation of appropriate preventive action and improvement. Education & Qualifications Essential Relevant experience within an appropriate engineering role and environment. Detailed knowledge and understanding engineering and quality standards. Higher National Certificate or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical bias). Desirable Knowledge of Ministry of Defence standards applicable to marine engineering work. Knowledge and previous experience of understanding of MoD Nuclear Authorisation Conditions. ISO9001:2000 Lead Auditor Qualification. NEBOSH General Certificate. Specific Nuclear Safety Responsibilities Ensure compliance with the Clyde Management System and Authorisation Conditions 6 and 17 for the production, maintenance and retention of documents, records and certificates.
