| Key Accountabilities Development and production of the Safety Justification (SJ) for S, T, A & V Class operations and maintenance activities within the Authorised Site. To review, manage and maintain the Nuclear Site Safety Justification (NSSJ) documentation in support of S, T, A & V Class operations, on behalf of the Head of Nuclear Compliance, in accordance with the extant Corporate Management System, that is compliant to continued Authorisation under JSP 518 and to ensure all operations are Justified and ALARP. To be the focal point within HMNB Clyde to incorporate Plant Nuclear Safety Case technical documentation into the safety justification of S, T, A & V operations at HMNB Clyde. Research and have a working knowledge of the current Design Safety Substantiation Case (DSSC) and other documentation, which supports current Class operations within the Authorised Site. To support Site Safety Justification Manager (SSJM) in the development and maintenance of a fully justified and compliant Nuclear Site Safety Justification. Liaison with MoD departments and NSRP Design Authorities and other Authorised Sites as required in the maintenance and development of the current class SJ. Liaison with Head of Nuclear Activities and existing Facility Managers for the development of nuclear safety management arrangements to support current class. Education & Qualifications Essential Experience of nuclear justification requirements and development of safety cases (NP1.5). Detailed knowledge and experience of current RPSJ. (Equivalent Royal Navy qualifications equating to category A/B Watchkeeper's) or Strategic Weapons System Safety Justification. Knowledge of nuclear and radiological safety of SSBN/SSN operations on Authorised Site/ Licensed Site arrangements (NP1.1 and 1.2). NWSC or willingness to complete within 6 months. Ideal A recognised professional engineering degree. Nuclear Warship Support Course or equivalent NSQEP and Nuclear Site Safety Justification Course (NSSJC in both sections). Understanding of modern Site Safety Justification requirements. Detailed understanding of NSRP systems. Nuclear Safety Case Writers and Assessors Course. Nuclear Weapon Foundation Course.
