| CIVILS SITE ENGINEER - LONDON - £30-40K + Package Our client is one of the largest civil engineering contractors in Europe, with an annual turn over in the billions. They are a main contractor who work on major projects within the Rail, Roads, Utilities and Heavy Civils sectors. SITE ENGINEER Currently they are working on a large civil construction project in inner London. The project is expected to run for 3-5 years and the work they will carry out will be civil infrastructure development around the railway. SITE ENGINEER They are looking for experienced site engineer to work on utility diversion, roadwork's and infrastructure works in and around the station. This is not actual track work itself but civils work around the tracks such as piling, heavy concrete works and structures. Your key activities as the site engineer will be to: * Set a high personal example of safety and environmental behaviour * Supervise chain person, assistant and site engineers * Advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques * Ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works * Ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work is programmed to commence * Communicate with foremen and gang's to ensure full understanding of information provided * Arrange formal checking of setting out * Prepare written risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works * Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time SITE ENGINEER You will have: * Experience as an engineer working for a civil engineering main contractor * Experience working on structures, piling and heavy concrete works * All site safety cards * Qualifications in Civil Engineering either HND or Degree Along with these qualifications you will work well within a team, have good communication skills be technically sound and have an eye for detail.
