| Design Engineer Cradle to grave design position where you will involved in complex technical projects from conceptual design through to final production. This company are a market leading first tier automotive supplier; manufacturing high quality, innovative branded products to major automotive OEMs worldwide. They form part of a profitable multi-national organisation and maintain a high market share within their industry by ensuring they produce state of the art, high-quality bespoke products. You will be joining a successful team in a company which prides itself on excellent staff retention due to fostering creativity and developing high levels of expertise to enable the design of ground breaking products. An excellent ongoing training plan with ensure your skill set is at the forefront of the marketplace and the opportunity to progress to senior design position guarantees the company retains it highly valued employees. The Role: *Project based conceptual and detailed design. *Management of design development through to final production. This will include assessment of material requirements and manufacturability; design reviews; arranging the production of tooling; overseeing testing procedures; ensuring quality standards are met; design validation; customer liaison. *Using Catia as a design package. *Use of techniques to include FMEA, SPC, 8D etc. The Candidate: *Design experience - concept and re-modification. * CATIA V5 experience essential. *Either from the automotive industry OR with knowledge of plastics and metal component design. *Ability to manage in depth technical projects and take full responsibility for your own assignments. Remuneration: £27000-£33000 + pension + life assurance + 25 days holiday + BUPA. | ||
