| Our client, the laboratory facility for a famous food company requires an analytical chemist to perform nutritional analysis on food samples. JOB PURPOSE Performs analytical tests required to ensure that raw materials and products meet specification, are legal and are comply with the agreed standard. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Food Safety & Quality Management: Collects data, makes measurements and takes action following the set guidelines. Compliance: Performs required measurements, interprets and reports findings. Carries out activities in accordance with internally approved protocols. Product & Raw Material Expertise: Samples and test raw materials to determine appropriate functionality Uses analytical techniques to examine raw materials, finished products and packaging and reports against agreed standard. Innovation: Performs tasks required to test and trial ideas. Data and Knowledge Management: Gathers, consolidates, analyses and reports data effectively using IT packages where applicable. Applying Technology to the Business: Presents technical information clearly and concisely. Health and Safety To observe Health & Safety regulations and follow guidelines and procedures in accordance with COSHH, as stipulated by the company. To maintain laboratories in a safe, tidy and clean manner.
