| KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Engine hardware development with respect to the client's packaging and technical specification. * Drawing creation suitable for production with all necessary documentation (e. g. BOM, Material Master) * Tracking of all designed components from prototype until series development * Design of best technical solutions for series changes and its tracking with Change Management System * Close cooperation with all relevant departments like Process Planning, Production, Assembly line, Simulation, Validation and Sales * Cooperation in risk evaluations (e.g. FMEA) * To act independently to clarify all technical design clarifications * Support of all departments (Purchasing, Sales, Production, Quality) for all technical and design related tasks Desirable skills: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required 2. Experience in the automotive industry or in a global manufacturing environment preferred 3. Professional experience in design 4. Experience with high sophisticated components 5. Some amount of travelling involved 6. Proficient in CAD/CAM methods and equipment, or in similar software i.e. CATIA V5, Pro/Engineer 7. Understanding of complex design drawings, layouts, stack-ups, and verbal design instructions, and advanced understanding of applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). 8. Customer contact requires professional verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage technical details. 9. Must be a team player and have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 10.Proficient with Microsoft office products Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP R/3 helpful. | ||
