| My Client specialises in delivering solutions for Playout & Distribution, Occasional Video & Data, Television Facilities, Outside Broadcasts, Digital Media Networks and International Connectivity. Initially on a 3 month contract basis (pro rata). They currently have a requirement for a Senior Facilities Technician. Mandatory Skills and Experience: -Experience in the operation of generators, UPS and switchpanels and knowledge of a/c systems. -Experience in the general operation and management of hard and soft facility services and associated contractors and suppliers. -Ability to review and comment on contractors method statements and risk assessments. -Having a hands on approach when dealing with site Facilities Helpdesk 'tickets' to ensure that they are resolved, utilising contractors where necessary. -Being able to mange small projects, up to c£50k value. -Provide maintenance support for all site infrastructure at Chalfont Grove and support to other sites and site managers where required. 2.1. All electrical distribution systems including transformers, panels, UPS and generators etc. to minimise costs and service outages which would include periodic running of generator sets, carrying out emergency lighting tests etc. 2. Fire detection, alarm and suppression systems. 3. Air-conditioning. 5.4. All building maintenance including plumbing, power distribution, lighting, building fabric, gutters. 4.5. All building structures but not including the Chalfont mast or earth station antennas. 6. Underground services including sewage, mains, water services, drains, but not including data/terrestrial fibre. 7. Site maintenance including all roads, parking areas. 8. Security systems including gates, barriers, PAC access system, intrusion detections systems, CCTV cameras and lighting. 9. Boilers, pump rooms and monitoring of oil, gas and water levels. -Responsible for the documentation and recording of electrical installations, including certification of electrical systems to 16th edition regulations (CG2381:BS 7671, BS2391) -An active member of the emergency fire team as Fire Warden -Management of site maintenance contracts, as agreed. -Manage projects to ensure that work is completed to the right specification and deadlines are met. Dealing with Chalfont Facilities 'tickets' when required and coordinating with the Facilities team to ensure tickets are resolved quickly. -Make sure all electrical and other work is in accordance with Health & Safety policies -Provide status reports and attend meetings as required. -Manage the Site Technician/Handyman.
