| An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Technical Director within a leading UK based environmental and engineering consultancy. This is a high profile opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business. Reporting to the Product Group Director, this role requires a strong track record in business development and managing client relations to take responsibility for regional growth of engineering services to property, development and regeneration related public and private sectors. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of business development in the UK in the relevant sectors, will have built up effective relationships with relevant clients through account management and will have a clear understanding of the range of services within the sector. Responsibilities:-You will have extensive engineering consultancy experience in commercial, residential, retail, leisure, mixed use or a broad based combination of projects. -You will need to work with other Product Group staff and members of the Sector Development team, guiding, influencing and partnering with them to penetrate potential growth in the sectors in line with the businesses overall strategy. -Strong influencing and communication skills are essential. Requirements:-A degree BSc Civil Engineering or other relevant qualification. MBA Optional, but some form of business training preferred. Chartered. -Essential that you have a clear understanding of the drivers and structure of the property and development related sectors, a sound knowledge of relevant technical issues, and the services likely to be required along with good access to Public and Private Sector customers. -You must have well established relationships with key client players in the sector and a significant track record of successful business development. -You will have been accountable for the development of consultancy business in excess of 1m and be able to demonstrate a track recording in leading business growth, team building and project management .
