| My client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for engineering infrastructure development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 50 countries from a network of more than 65 offices. This role will be to support and lead small teams on primarily public sector transport planning and/or engineering projects. Projects will be based throughout the Wales and West Region. The available roles will encompass transportation planning and traffic engineering. Particular specialisms in policy and strategy, highways development control, road safety, transportation modelling and public transport planning are being sought. However, potential candidates from other backgrounds will be considered. The role will comprise a mixture of managing smaller projects, providing expert level support to larger projects and guiding and mentoring junior staff in their technical development. Key Objectives The principal function of these positions is to: provide support to project directors and managers and lead/manage small teams to deliver projects to time, budget and the Client's satisfaction. Technical input into the preparation of proposals and the writing up of project reports will also be required. Project management of smaller commissions and management of junior staff. Key Responsibilities The priorities of this role include: reporting to client and senior management on project progress and issues arising liaising with clients regarding projects project and financial management of smaller technical projects leading and training junior staff members in technical aspects of our work preparing papers and presentations to clients and national bodies managing the work output of junior staff whilst on allocated projects Job Requirements The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: experience in team working and project management.
