As a company they cover traditional main contracting and design and build form of project and their core markets are commercial office, retail and also some high end residential. They are a forward thinking and progressive company with a culture of continual improvement and evolution. The Role Our client is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for projects throughout London and the surrounding areas. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the running of the financial side of the projects and will be able to take the lead and effectively represent the company in a client facing role. The Quantity Surveyor will carry out the technical aspects of the job such valuations, variations and contractual work. The position is a mixture of office based work and regular visits to live sites and the successful Quantity Surveyor could be responsible for up to three sites depending on size and location of projects. Most important is the ability to liaise effectively with clients, architects and sub contractors to ensure that any issues are dealt with at source. The Right Individual For this project the client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience of similar projects. A background in main contracting or fast track interior fit-out would be an advantage. The successful Quantity Surveyor will be organized and self- motivated and have the ability to work to deadlines whilst retaining excellent standards of quality and service. A proven ability to see projects through to a successful completion is a must for applicants.
