| ||
| Structural Engineer required for Semi-submersible Flotel Project in Scotland; to be responsible for activities in support of commercial clients and management of small project teams conducting structural design and drawing activities. Activities will include: Basic and detail design of maritime and offshore structures including the production of scantling drawings and associated calculations to classification society rules and, design and detail of steelwork unit drawings. Checking of calculations Modification of existing structures. Material specification and coding, heavy lift and arrangements, welding specifications etc Liaison with manufacturers and clients Estimating, progress monitoring and reporting Managing workload and resources Successful applicants will need to show a willingness to work offsite or extended hours for short periods is required. Experience of supervising a small team along with structural design or modification to Classification Society Rules.
