| Our client is a leading British operator in the oil and gas industry. They are currently looking for an HSE advisor to join their busy HSSE peer group at their UK Businesses Centre in Buckinghamshire. This role will be offered as a twelve month contract, which could be extended or converted in to a full time position, depending on workload / economic conditions. The role will provide support to the existing HSSE team working both at the head office in Milton Keynes and potentially across the country in our 14 terminal locations. This role holds the following responsibilities: * Assist with the development of our compliance management system. The job holder must be able to interpret H&S legislation and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of relevant regulatory issues. * HSE administrative duties - including entering incident data into our incident database, working with others on our emergency plans and business continuity plans, providing support for HSE awareness campaigns etc. * Assist with audits and assurance procedure - undertaking internal and contractor assurance audits. * Assist with the delivery of H&S training particularly in the areas of risk assessment, hazard identification and safe systems of work. The job holder will be required to demonstrate risk assessment tools are understood and utilised by employees and contractors.
