| An excellent position has come available in a company in Northumberland for a Mechanical/Structural Engineer. Our client is looking for someone with a Stress Analysis background and experience in number crunching and calculations involved in Stress of various mechanical and structural components. The work is ongoing and start is ASAP. Please call for more details or apply online Our client is looking for someone with a Stress Analysis background and experience in number crunching and calculations involved in Stress of various mechanical and structural components for oil and gas related projects. Position Summary Provides detailed mechanical and structural design of gas turbine air intake filtration systems, combustion exhaust gas systems and associated acoustic components and packages. Position Responsibilities 1. Mechanical and structural design of company products and systems for power generation, oil and gas and similar industrial projects worldwide. 2. Producing cost-effective designs, in-compliance with specified requirements, within budget and to pre-defined deadlines 3. Participating in research and development of new products and optimisation of existing product range. 4. Provision of technical support to sales, projects, manufacturing and customer service departments . 5. Reviewing of client specifications, clearly identifying technical, engineering and commercial requirements, and risks. 6. Early identification of any delays to time schedule or budget over-runs and highlighting these to management. 7. Completion of specific allocated tasks to agreed schedules, in accordance with defined budgets. 8. Identification of areas of improvement in design working methods or efficiencies 9. Researching and keeping abreast of latest technologies and developments in field of expertise. 10. Participates in site visits, meetings or direct communications with customers or field offices to assist in resolution of problems or complaints. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
