| The successful candidate will work directly with the Sales & Marketing Director to develop new business, prepare proposals and quotations for supply of DMC data and data downlink contracts, and negotiate and win contracts. This position will ideally be suited for a candidate who has a very strong proven track record within either a GIS or Sensor background. The requirements for the position will be as follows: - Respond efficiently to enquiries for DMC data and respond with appropriate information about our clients products and services. - Contact potential clients to understand and quantify their requirements and budgets, and sell the advantages of our clients products and services. - Prepare proposals and quotations for provision of data or services for potential clients, in liaison with the Operations Manager. - Maintain up-to-date information on all customer interactions in the CRM database. - Secure contracts to meet sales targets - Support the other team members negotiation of contracts to meet sales targets. - Participate in promotions at international trade shows and conferences. - Develop an up-to-date knowledge of the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of our clients products vs. competitors. - Develop a good knowledge of the remote sensing market; demand, competition and prices. - Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that contracts can be delivered successfully To apply for this position the candidate must have a proven technical sales experience preferably international. Ideally the candidate will also possess a degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific discipline and a knowledge of remote sensing industry practices. The basic salary for this position will be 28 - 35k (depending on level of experience) with OTE, pension and International travel insurance.
