| A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's largest Environmental Consultancy Companies as a Technical Manager-Buildings Energy Engineer. My client specialises in providing consulting solutions for a wide variety of 'green' areas. The principal function of the position is to provide technical support in the area of buildings energy and renewable energy. Key responsibilities/skills: �tApplicants are likely to hold an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or environmental degree (or equivalent) with a buildings and/or energy focus. �BREEAM accreditation or membership of the CIBSE/EI or equivalent would be advantageous as well as being a Qualified SAP assessor. �Have considerable experience of working within a commercial/consulting environment. �Knowledge of building energy demand/ modelling, M&E services, HVAC, lighting, buildings controls engineering in one or more sectors and energy engineering is essential. �Experience is required of working on SAP, Buildings Regulations, energy management, energy demand assessment, HVAC, Buildings Regulations achievement and commercial buildings energy ratings. �Specific knowledge should also include EPBD and implementation, Part L (&J) building regulations and implementation, local and regional planning processes wrt housing and commercial developments, sustainable energy and sustainable procurement, Building design (active and passive) for energy optimization, Building Management systems, HVAC and Hot water heating systems and sizing buildings for energy demands. �Strong project management skills and a driving licence.
