| RTR4747 Mechanical Design Engineer Suffolk £30000 - £35000 + Pension + Healthcare + 25 days holiday Varied new concept design role on offer for applicants with mechanical design experience looking for a position where you will manage your designs through to manufacture. Established over 60 years ago, the company is part of a world wide group with a £1.5 billion turnover. Specialising in mechanical components for oil & gas, marine, power generation, and other industries the company have an enviable reputation and a strong foothold in the market place. With consistent growth both organically and through acquisition, the company has a need to strengthen it's engineering capacity with an additional design engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will run your own projects, liasing with customers, suppliers and internal departments to design solutions to customers specifications and progress them to completion. In return you will be trained on various company software and be given a broad range of experiences and support to develop your skills further. The Role: * Mechanical design of castings using AutoCAD 2D and Inventor. * Some mechanical calculations i.e. FEA, Fluid dynamics. * Project Managing the manufacture of the products to client specifications. * 50% Conceptual design, 50% remodification.
