| POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Mechanical Engineer Reports to: Project Manager (PPMT) Supervises: Not Applicable PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Assists the Project Manager (Site) related to mechanical engineering (rotating machines, pressure vessel, piping etc.) as one of members of the Project Proposal Management Team (PPMT) for Long Term EPC Contract Services for RasGas, Ras Laffan Qatar (herein-after referred to as PROJECT). 2.Is responsible for the following duties in terms of mechanical engineering: *Coordinating all activities related to execution of individual projects identified by RasGas (RG) from time to time between RG and Contractor's Project Team for each RFS (Request for Service) *Assisting RasGas in developing SOW (Scope of Work) & Design *Development of SP (Service Proposal) 3.Closely coordinates with RG and try to identify the engineering issues which are critical for cost, schedule, quality, operability, safety etc. from the mechanical engineering point of view, conducts site survey and produce a proposed (recommended) technical solution. 4.Requests the home office to develop a detailed proposal to be submitted to RG, if home office's expertise is required. 5.Coordinates with the home office for defining SOW, preparing Service Proposal in the area of mechanical engineering. 6.Gives advices, if requested by the Project Team (in Qatar) during detailed engineering, construction, precommissioning, and commissioning. 6. Produces a list of applicable specifications for each SO, and basic requirements as required. QUALIFICATIONS 1.Relevant Experience: Planning, coordinating and supervising equipment engineering and design activities in oil and gas projects. 2.Min.Years in Oil & Gas Industry 7 years, 3.Professional Skills and Competency Familiar with design codes and standards in oil&gas industry, Familiar with design, engineering, and analytical techniques/software. 1) Position : Mechanical Engineer with minimum 5 years exp in:- 1. Number of years of experiences in abroad 2. Experiences with major Contractor for Oil/Gas construction 3. Experiences with Major Oil / Gas Company 2) Assignment Period : More than one calendar year 3) Assignment Status : Single 4) Standard Working Hours : 60 hours/week 5) Basic Monthly Salary : US$ 6,000 per month 6) Overtime Premium : Not applicable. (You are not entitled to Overtime Payment, as compensation for such overtime is regarded as included in your remuneration. You may be required to work overtime either on normal working days or holidays when necessary. We would like to expect you to complete your duty in professional manner). 7) Home Leave Cycle : For every 6 calendar months worked, you are entitled to fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days plus two (2) travel days of paid Home Leave, provided 4 months of the assignment period shall remain. 8) Accommodation : To be provided 9) Transportation : To be provided 10) Airticket for Home Leave/Mobilization/Demobilization: Economy class airticket to be provided to the nearest International Airport. | ||
