| POSITION DESCRIPTION Title: Senior Process Engineer Reports to: Project Manager (Site) Supervises: Not Applicable PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Assists the Project Manager (Site) related to process engineering, as one of members of the Project Proposal Management Team (PPMT) for Long Term EPC Contract Services for RasGas, Ras Laffan Qatar (herein-after PROJECT), 2.Primarily, is responsible for following duties in terms of process engineering; *Coordinating all activities related to execution of individual projects identified by RasGas from time to time between RG and Contractor's Project Team for each RFS (Request for Service) *Assisting RasGas in developing SOW (Scope of Work) & Design *Development of SP (Service Proposal) *Develop PEP (Project Execution Plan) 3.Prepares coordination procedure(s) for the above mentioned purpose, 4.Assesses the operating conditions of the facilities of RasGas premises and finds the problem areas to be improved jointly with RasGas staffs and Proposes solutions to RasGas, 5.Prepares the requirements for further studies by home office engineering group with RasGas approval and prepares RFS jointly with RasGas by coordinating with the members of PPMT, 6.Prepares the requirements for realization of the work and prepares RFS jointly with RasGas by coordinating with the members of PPMT 7.Coordinates with the home office (either Yokohama or Doha) for defining SOW, preparing Service Proposal and developing PEP, 8.Coordinates with the home office (either Yokohama or Doha) for developing the design of individual SO including support to home office such as providing additional local information/data, 9.Supports precommisioning, commissioning and start-up group, 10.Specific duty requested by Project Manager (Site) QUALIFICATION 1.Relevant experience: process engineering in oil and gas projects, Minimum 8-10 years in oil & gas industry and 2 years in the position 2.Key Skills and Competencies -Process engineering activities including; *Design basis development *Preparation of PFD and P&ID *Design of equipment *Line sizing calculations *Process simulations and H&M balance *Utility consumption calculations *Control valve and Safety relief valve sizing calculations *HAZOP related activity and preparation of cause and effect matrix *Use of software such as PIPEPHASE, HYSIS *Assessment of operation data for improvement *Feasibility study *Trouble shooting of plant operation *Support to commissioning and start-up activities -Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, and other company and discipline specific software applications. -Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company. -Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. -Effective organization skills including the ability to prioritize and plan work. -Ability to function in a multi-cultural/multi-national corporation. -Highly motivated, organized, self-starting individual with good work ethic and integrity. | ||
