Site Manager Lancashire (Building & Construction) upto £40,000 per annum

Job Overview

• Liaising with and supervising the work of the other professionals involved in the project
• Making sure the aims of the project are met
• Ensuring that quality standards are adhered to
• Keeping track of progress and ensuring that the project is on time and on budget
• Maintaining records of expenditure, accounting, costing and billing

Job Description

• Manage the work at the project site and coordinate between subcontractors to ensure execution of all project phases on time.
• Assist in preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules
• Assist in preparing the required progress reports
• Manage the activities of subcontractors.
• Requisition for supplies of materials to complete works.
• Identify manpower and equipment needs required for completion of works.
• Develop and monitor the implementation of quality control programs.
• Review subcontractors and suppliers invoices and submit to the Project Manager for approval
• On-going evaluation of construction methods and continuous improvement implementation
• Review and monitor the project safety plans and security measures.
• Participate in the study of any modification suggested by the contractors and subcontractors to facilitate and expedite work, getting the approval where required
• Assist in preparing all progress reports related to the project execution
• Manage the work at the project site and coordinate between subcontractors to ensure execution of all project phases on time.
• Assist in preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules

Skills & Experience

• Experience in another position such as site engineer or construction manager.
• Experience within residential build or timber frame
• 3 - 5 years (or more) experience
  Experience of managing diverse teams in line with complex strategic and financial targets
• Advanced proficiency in current technology across construction management and reporting
• Fluency in English is essential
• Relevant degree qualification within Construction Engineering Preferred
