| A world wide influential and well respected Design and Build Specialist with offices located throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of the World. The Role We now require an experienced Estimator join the Head Office team based in Manchester. Job Description ·Checking tender enquiry information for completeness. ·Consider attractiveness of project and report conclusions early to management ·Checking potential sub-contractor interest and commitment to bidding ·Procuring Bills of Quantities when necessary and undertake 'spot checks' of completed BoQ ·Compiling and dispatching sub-contractor enquiries ·Receiving, checking and preparing comparisons between returned sub-contract tenders ·Speaking to/meeting Sub-contractors to discuss detail as necessary ·Identifying and notifying risks to the Bid Manager ·Suggest potential tender clarifications to the Bid Manager ·Value manage / value engineer and progress alternatives accordingly ·Consider alternatives and develop and price any worthy of consideration ·Obtain a Commercial report on Contract Terms etc ·Prepare internal report forms and briefing papers & Record and publish meeting notes and actions ·Preparing Preliminaries (GE) costs in conjunction with a Planning Engineer ·Prepare the Financial build-up to the tender sum ·Produce pre and post tender meeting papers & Prepare letters and correspondence as required Skills Requirement ·A BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ·Excellent IT skills including experience of using ECDL, Causeway, RIPAC ·Risk Software. ·Experience in a similar role.
