| A world wide influential and well respected Design and Build Specialist with offices located throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of the World. The Role We now require an experienced Senior Estimator join the Head Office team based in Manchester, to manage and/or formulate accurate cost estimates/ budgets for corporate approval and subsequent incorporation into formal submissions to Clients. Job Description ·Provide input into post-tender negotiations, and (as appropriate) Tender-Contract handover ·Acquire a thorough understanding of the tender documentation, the Client's requirements / aspirations, and the required tender deliverables ·Determine tender subcontract and material requirements; ensure that all necessary enquiries are secured via the Procurement Dept and check/validate enquiry returns ·Utilise Tendering Assistant(s) effectively to progress the tendering process ·Liaise with the Tender Planner(s) to ensure the timely production of cost estimate resources in accordance with both the tender and corporate requirements ·Formulation of the tender GE (General Expense) Book ·Prepare / coordinate the tender cost estimate in accordance with Estimating procedures ·Assess project risks, proposed mitigations, associated costings and scoring ·Generate documentation for tender approval in accordance with company procedures Provide on-the-job Estimating training to other members of the Department as appropriate Skills Requirement ·A BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ·Excellent IT skills including experience of using ECDL, Causeway, RIPAC ·Risk Software. ·Experience in a similar role. ·A working knowledge of multidisciplinary construction projects and you will also have a basic knowledge of contract conditions This is an immediate requirement and all applicants are asked to include a covering letter, reason for leaving current position, current salary and package details, notice period and availability for interview. | ||
