| Principal Accountabilities: Ensure that Client's processes and systems are correctly utilised and maintained in accordance with Client's Supply Chain procedures and business principles Procurement of materials and services, including the preparation of Service and Purchase Orders Monitor suppliers and contractors' performance, to identify issues arising and the development of improvement programmes and resolution Ensure that all statutory requirements are rigidly observed and adequate records maintained to substantiate Client's compliance. Receive from Engineering, all material and services requisitions, check data integrity, code as applicable, and enter into Client's procurement system, ensuring all materials are ordered timeously and delivered to the correct destination Coordination of all interface aspects with Engineering, Planning, Cost Control and Q.A., to ensure agreed objectives and targets are achieved in respect of materials and services supply Ensure that sourcing from vendors is carried using the FPAL process in the first instance, or by using Client's Agreements and Contracts already in place Utilise 'Maximo' supply chain system to effect procurement transactions, updating the system with all relevant PO status information Qualifications/Skills Candidates would preferably have an HNC or CIPS, or be working toward a professional qualification Excellent IT skills essential, and previous use of procurement systems is a definite advantage Positive attitude, with strength to advise customers on procedural compliance would be an advantage Teamworking ethos, with examples of process improvement and value delivery attained, highly desirable To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK Matchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. | ||
