	We are seeking someone who takes pride in preparing detailed design and contract drawings From strategic advice and development of major motorway schemes to minor improvements, our Client has the expertise to carry out all aspects of highways planning, design and supervision. To work in partnership to develop solutions for technically challenging and complex projects, sharing knowledge and expertise The opportunity The role will involve undertaking and supporting the preparation of various aspects of highway design on large Highway Improvement Schemes. You will be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members. You will supervise technicians and assistant engineers and communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels. Who we are looking for Appropriate experience in several aspects of design which may include: - Highway alignment and junction design - Safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic sign and lighting design - Application of the Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents - Previous experience in the use of AutoCAD and MX is essential - Working knowledge of Windes/Microdrainage would be an advantage - Experience working in a Highway Design Office on medium to large scale projects, preferably at tender and detailed design stages - Chartered, nearly Chartered or Incorporated Engineers - Keen interest in working in a multidisciplinary environment
