| Technical Superintendent required with previous seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer. Technical Superintendent - Switzerland - Salary £60,000 Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will have responsibility for the supervision of all technical aspects of ships in operation: * Monitor the vessel operating parameters, hull condition, bunker and lubricant consumption; * Planning and supervising voyage maintenance and repairs and dry-dockings; * Conducting regular ship inspections and preparing inspection reports; * Communicating with class, flag state and other authorities and monitoring international regulations; * Be thoroughly familiar with the ISM and ISPS codes, the Safety Management System, PMS; You will monitor and control vessels to ensure compliance with relevant IMO, Class and other necessary regulatory requirements, in addition to the Company's own management guidelines and policies. The person: Having sailed up to the rank of Chief Engineer on vessels of similar size and complexities as Drilling and Survey vessels you will have gone on to gain extensive yard experience in dry dockings and new build. Time spent in a shore based position as a Superintendent would be seen as an advantage. Candidates who have sailing experience in the Support Vessel sector are preferred In addition you will also be expected to have: * Excellent command of the English language * Decision making and leadership skills * The ability to deal with and manage people * Commitment to work, you may be required to work at irregular hours For this position the ability to present information in a way that is understandable at all levels is essential.
