| We have a vacancy at our Shipbuilding facility in Portsmouth for a Build Assurance Document Controller, working for the Commissioning and Setting to Work department (CSTW). Reporting to the Build Assurance / QC Manager you will be responsible for managing the collation of all build, inspection, test and trial documentation required for audit and acceptance of vessels in build. Key responsibilities: - To organise the collation of acceptance and audit documentation in accordance with acceptance and inspection programme requirements, policies and procedures, - To advise CSTW engineers on documentation required to support surveys, inspections and trials and conduct regular audits of this documentation, - Advise and give guidance on documentation flow, - Maintain effective document filing system, - Verify and audit all documentation presented, - Represent department at acceptance meetings, - Support compilation of D3B documentation, - Demonstrate and support positive behaviours within the CSTW team. Role requirements: - Experience of managing large filing systems, - Good IT skills in Word and Excel, - Experience of IT document managed systems, - Understanding of the acceptance information received to achieve contract acceptance is desirable, - Experience of using and manipulating databases.
